Hudds Mill Community Orchard
A two acre site of Burghley land has been given over to SCOG. We plan to plant thirty historic local variety fruit trees each year over three years, and are encouraging the use of the Orchard as a community space for picnics, and locals will be able to pick fruit there too.

If you could offer a few hours a month you could be just the person we are looking for. We need help at our planning meetings and at events like our Apple Day and workshops, or in our community orchard in Christchurch Close. You'll certainly learn more about our fantastic local apple heritage, help to preserve and promote it, and work with an enthusiastic and friendly volunteer team. SCOG has an apple press and other essential cider making equipment; we are happy to loan this out to groups for events. Click here to find out more.

There is a bi-monthly meeting at 7.30pm on the third Wednesday at The Crown Hotel. All welcome.
