New planting in Priory Field Orchard

We planted three new apple trees in Priory field Orchard. The orchard has about 13 very old Bramley and Annie Elizabeth trees that are probably well over 100 years old. The orchard is now owned by The Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust who are keen to keep the orchard alive and well managed for biodiversity. So new plantings of standard trees on M25 rootstock will now enrich the orchard, together with some careful restorative pruning.
